About Lucky Press, LLC
Lucky Press, LLC began in 1999 with The Aviator's Apprentice by Chris Davey and I was POISONED by my body... by Dr. Gloria Gilbere. In 2000, Lucky Press became an LLC and added additional titles. Our earliest mission statement was "books about characters, real and fictional, who overcome adversity and experience adventure." That statement holds true today as we endeavor to publish engaging books for thoughtful readers.
Lucky Press has expanded into books about pets, natural health, historical fiction, and young adult fiction. We are interested in autism and the questions and issues faced by families touched by autism and also by cancer.
We are a traditional publishing company (as opposed to a subsidy or vanity press) and yet a small business and, as such, our authors take on the responsibility for marketing efforts related to their books. Lucky Press authors can be found on various social networks, blogs, and book-related events, not just pitching their books but connecting with readers about subjects that are meaningful, entertaining, and instructive. Our authors have been profiled in newspapers around the country, as well as in national magazines such as In Touch and Readers' Digest and have appeared on TV and radio. Moving forward, we are exploring all the venues that books are enjoyed in today and hope to have more of our titles available as ebooks soon. Bookmark our site.
